The one certain, interpenetrating and overarching primordial reality is consciousness. We confidently claim that we are conscious individuals and yet, beyond the aggregate of all conscious individuals, a universal consciousness precedes, permeates and animates all life on earth and throughout space-time.

This notional separation of the individual and the universal appears as the Great Duality and yet we are not apart from, nor do we stand in opposition to, this universal consciousness. To realise that we are part of that is to realise that we have a universal being beyond and yet within the personal body. To embrace that universality is to access an intelligence and awareness which makes sense of our world and our place in it.

The first and undeniable is freedom of conscience

If freedom of conscience then freedom of expression

If freedom of expression then freedom of association

If freedom of association then freedom of representation

If freedom of representation then free and fair election.

The enemies of freedom will seek to limit all freedoms

But they are without power over our sacred allegiance

That is why all freedom starts with freedom of conscience.

The enemies of freedom will seek to abuse freedom

Make it serve another master

But there is no freedom without compassion.

Simplicity is invulnerable

a state of lasting grace

a perfect unqualifiable

Can we have degrees of simplicity?

Isn’t it like clarity?

When we encounter clarity

we know it for what it is

and we accept its fruits

with gratitude.

Simplicity is a condition prior to complexity.

It has no cause and cannot be created or captured

by endeavour.

It cannot be possessed.

We cannot describe it in words.

Yet we know it by its absence

and we long for it.

It just is.

Therein lies its power.
